Trishul Damru Tripund and Om

Trishul (Trident) 

The Trishul is the primary weapon of Lord Shiva. Its three prongs symbolize: 

The three Gunas (Sattva, Rajas, Tamas), The three periods of time (Past, Present, Future), The three types of sufferings (Physical, Divine, Spiritual). it teaches us that Shiva ends all obstacles and sorrows, granting us liberation and peace. 

Damru (DrumI) 

The Damru symbolizes the creation and destruction aspect of Lord Shiva. The sound of the Damru creates vibrations that led to the creation of the universe. It is considered a symbol of Naad Brahma (the cosmic sound), teaching us that the universe originated from sound and vibration. It also represents music, art, and energy. 

Tripund (Three Sacred Ash Lines) 

Tripund refers to the three horizontal sacred ash lines applied on Lord Shiva’s forehead. These lines signify liberation from: The three Gunas, The three periods of time, The three types of sufferings. Tripund inspires us to cultivate discipline, renunciation, and devotion towards Lord Shiva in our lives. 

Om (ॐ) 

Om is considered the primal sound of creation and a symbol of universal consciousness. It is also the seed mantra of Lord Shiva. The vibration of Om brings stability in meditation and spiritual practices and awakens divine energy within us. It reminds us that we are a part of the cosmic energy of the universe.
